Tampa/New York - Midtown Partners & Co., LLC, a boutique investment bank, placed 16 registered direct and PIPE offerings in 2009, raising approximately $71 million for clients in the healthcare, biotechnology, consumer goods, and technology industries. Two of the offerings were concurrent with reverse mergers – including a marketing company and a nanotechnology solar company. According to Sagient Research Systems’ PlacementTracker, Midtown Partners tied for fifth among placement agents based on the number of transactions closed in 2009.
