John R. Clarke Named Chief Executive Officer of Midtown Partners & Co., LLC

Tampa, FL- Midtown Partners & Co., LLC (“Midtown Partners”) announced today that it has brought on John R. Clarke to become the Company’s Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Clarke will also become Midtown Partners Managing Director of Investment Banking.

Prior to joining Midtown, Mr. Clarke was President and Managing Director of Investment Banking for H.C. Wainwright & Co., a full-service financial services firm founded in 1868. During Mr. Clarke’s tenure as President of Wainwright, the firm became the 3rd and 4th leading U.S. placement agent in number of closed PIPE transactions for the years 2004 and 2005 respectively (source Placementtracker.com). From early 2004, Mr. Clarke served as both the General Securities Principal (Series 24) and the Financial Operations Principal (Series 27) for the firm as well.

Prior to H.C.Wainwright, Mr. Clarke held the position of producing Branch Manager for several NYSE member firms. Since entering the securities industry in 1984, Mr. Clarke has focused on assisting small and medium sized public companies raise capital. Working with over 100 public companies he has assisted in raising in excess of $500 Million in directly placed private capital. In addition, Mr. Clarke has advised private companies in going public through the Initial Public Offering (IPO) and Alternative Public Offering (APO)/ Reverse Merger process.

Mr. Clarke holds his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Finance from the E. Claiborne Robbins School of Finance at the University of Richmond. He also holds a series 7, 63, 24 and 27 securities industry licenses.

In December of 2006, Mr. Clarke was featured on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” as the closest of over 70 securities industry professionals based on his approximation for the 2006 year end closing level for the NASDAQ composite index. The interview was based on Mr. Clarke’s entry in the “Fearless Forecast from the Pros” section included in the 2005 Business Week magazine’s year end double issue dated December 26, 2005.
